Wildlife
The protection of wildlife and the preservation of natural habitats and wildlife ecosystems
is very important to us.
Situated on the Sechelt Inlet near the edge of the
wilderness we regularly have deer and raccoons visiting the property. In addition, a vast array of
birds such as bald eagles, pileated woodpeckers, flickers, owls, kingfishers and humming birds, to mention a few. With an amazing view of the ocean there is a good chance you will also see seals and otters swimming in the bay.
Living in such close proximity to
wildlife is a gift; however, society continues to put pressure on wildlife habitat and too often animals are threatened or harmed as a result of population growth and development.
We have selected a non-profit organization to support: the Gibsons Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. The Centre admits into care injured and orphaned birds and small mammals for rehabilitation and re-release into the wild. For every stay that is booked
at Seastone we will donate $10.00 to this charity.
